Happy new year to all of you. We have one new year's resolution: 2008 will be POLAR year, and it's starting out well.

We're happy to announce that Selwyn's voice has almost fully recovered from the two operations and we'll soon be finishing the vocal tracks for the album. We will also be playing live again, starting on February 2nd in Den Helder. Don't miss it!

The POLAR Exploration ship proudly presents Gijsbert Diteweg to replace Willem Mulock on guitar.

Gijsbert will make his appearance on stage on februari 2nd.

Unfortunately, we are forced to cancel the two shows scheduled for the rest of this year. Joining the ranks of Mick Jagger and Jan Smit, our singer Selwyn suffers from voice problems, needs to undergo an operation and has to give his voice lots of rest afterwards. This will also delay the release of our CD. But in 2008 we will be back with new gigs, a great album and a better singing Selwyn than ever!

We're very sorry but we had to cancel the show in Arnhem only a couple of hours before the show due to voice problems. The doctor had advised Selwyn not to do the show and give his voice some rest.
We hope to visit Mick's bar on another date.

This Friday the POLAR Ship will visit Mick O'Connells in Arnhem. We will be joined by Gijsbert on guitar to replace Willem. He will also do the show with us in Apeldoorn on November 5th.
Gijsbert used to be a member of Venus Flytrap.

We have decided to part ways with our guitarist Willem, as we feel we are not sailing the same musical course anymore. In the future, we hope to hear his slide solos whenever we cross the southern seas. Thanks for all the fun, Willem, it has been a great trip!

The gig at the Gigant café in Apeldoorn is now definitely fixed at November 25. We hope to see you there!
